Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer specializing in Vascular studies, with dual registration in Echo and Vascular and a minimum of 2 years of experience, for a system-wide float pool position in an outpatient setting.
Details
- Outpatient setting across multiple clinic locations, including Eden, Burlington, Magnolia, MC HP, and DB
- Vascular ultrasound unit within a system-wide float pool — candidates will work independently at various outpatient centers
- Adult patient population
- Procedures include Abdominal Aorta, Aortic studies, Arterial Graft Studies, Carotid, Color Flow, Doppler Studies, Duplex, Lower Extremity Arterial & Venous, M-Mode, Renal Artery Duplex, Transcranial Doppler, and Upper Extremity Arterial & Venous
- Equipment includes Philips ultrasound systems and PACS
- Epic EMR — experience is mandatory
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM
- Outpatient centers are open 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; shifts are scheduled within that window
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of sonography/vascular ultrasound experience required
- Must be registered with either ARDMS or CCI — accepted credentials include RDCS and RVT, or RCS and RVS
- Candidates registered with only RVS certification and Echo experience may also be considered
- Adult ultrasound experience required
- Proficiency with Philips ultrasound equipment and PACS required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates will float independently across multiple outpatient clinic locations
- A Pass/Fail EKG exam is required during compliance for this position — candidates are encouraged to prepare in advance, as study materials will not be provided by the facility
- Candidates must be comfortable working in an outpatient-only environment
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
