Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Edmond, OK, requiring a minimum of one year of nursing experience and AHA-issued certifications.

Details

• Med/Surg unit (3rd/4th Floor) in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patients present with a variety of health problems ranging from simple to complex

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Required certifications (AHA only): BLS and ACLS
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting care, administering medications, monitoring physiological data, managing IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating with physicians and support staff
• Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply; assignments are limited to one extension for a maximum of 26 weeks total unless otherwise agreed upon
• This facility has strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon offer acceptance
