Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient position at an acute care hospital, with potential inpatient floating opportunities.
Details
- Outpatient physical therapy setting within a 49-bed acute care hospital
- Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Optional floating to a partner facility approximately 15 miles away for a half day of inpatient coverage on Fridays, if agreeable
- Rotating inpatient weekend coverage approximately once every 2 months
- Charting systems include McKesson, OBix, Pyxis, and SBAR
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required; candidates with 1 year of experience may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- Current state PT license or compact license required — license must be in hand at time of consideration
- Active BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- License required if applicable — all certifications and licensure must be submitted for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Mileage reimbursed by the facility when traveling to the partner location
- Any color scrubs are acceptable
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
- No RTO within the first two weeks of the start date; no more than 10 days of RTO total; no full calendar weeks of RTO accepted
- All time-off requests must be finalized and submitted at the time of application
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
