Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry Observation position at an acute care hospital in Massachusetts, requiring strong telemetry experience and the ability to work autonomously on night shifts.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed Telemetry Observation unit at a 127-bed acute care hospital
• Patient population consists primarily of medical observation patients being ruled out for various diagnoses, typically with 24–48 hour stays; occasional overflow surgical patients
• No medication drips administered on this unit
• Charting system: Cerner
• Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Weekend requirement: 2–3 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per 6-week period
• On-call requirement: 5–6 night shifts per 6-week period (22:00–07:00)
• Floating required within scope to Med/Surg Telemetry as needed
• Block scheduling availability determined by unit needs
• Local candidates are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license required and must be valid at time of consideration — pending licenses not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• Must be able to function autonomously in a telemetry observation setting
• Cerner or Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide observation nursing care to medical patients undergoing short-stay diagnostic workups, typically 24–48 hours
• First-time travelers are considered with 2–3 years of experience and Cerner or Epic EMR experience
• Any requested time off must be finalized and submitted prior to acceptance — no RTO will be added after signing
• Any color scrubs accepted; no jean material
