Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry Observation position at an acute care hospital in Massachusetts, requiring at least 2 years of telemetry experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Work in a 10-bed Telemetry Observation unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Patient population consists primarily of medical observation patients being ruled out for various diagnoses, with occasional overflow surgical patients; typical stays are 24–48 hours
- No medication drips administered on this unit
- Charting performed in Cerner
- Schedule is 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Weekend requirement: 2–3 weekends (Saturday/Sunday) per 6-week schedule
- On-call requirement: 5–6 night shifts per 6-week period (22:00–07:00)
- Floating required within scope to Med/Surg Telemetry as needed
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Free parking available in unrestricted spaces or in the lot across the street from the hospital
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license, valid and in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
- Must be able to function autonomously with strong telemetry competency
- Strong familiarity with Cerner or Epic preferred, particularly for first-time travelers
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered with 2–3 years of experience and Cerner or Epic experience
- Any requested time off must be finalized and submitted prior to signing — no RTO will be added after the contract is signed
- Scrub color: any color scrubs are acceptable; no denim material
- 13-week contract
