Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient experience for a day-shift assignment.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting
• Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Treats patients across orthopedic, neurologic, and post-surgical populations including cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op shoulder/spinal/hip/knee cases, stroke, MS, Parkinson's, and TBI
• Supervises physical therapy assistants and PT technicians as part of the plan of care
• Utilizes facility modalities and exercise equipment
• Any charting system experience accepted

Requirements

• Current PT license required for state of employment; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with body mechanics, orthopedic, and neurologic assessment and treatment
• Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education
• Must maintain licensure in good standing throughout assignment

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients via physician referral or direct access
• May perform post-offer testing (WorkSTEPS or APET), Work Hardening Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, ergonomic evaluations, and job analysis
• Communicates regularly with referring physicians and rehab nurses regarding patient progress
• May assist with scheduling, answering phones, and billing code utilization for various payer types
• May participate in marketing, community events, and business development activities
• Open to first-time travelers
