Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Level 1 Trauma Adult Emergency Department requiring 2+ years of ED experience and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification.
Details
- Level 1 Trauma Adult Emergency Department setting
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- Every other weekend requirement
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS through AHA
- Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- TNCC certification preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established ED policies, procedures, and protocols
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
- Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply and affect pay rate
