Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Adult Emergency Department night shift position requiring AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
Details
- Work setting is a Level 1 Trauma Adult Emergency Department
- Night shift hours: 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (both must be AHA-issued)
- Certifications preferred: PALS (AHA), TNCC (renewed every 4 years), NIH Stroke Scale certification, and CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (8-hour course, renewed every 2 years)
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Required documents for consideration: 2 professional references, copy of Driver's License, skills checklist, and copies of certifications and license verification/Nursys
Additional Information
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans in a high-acuity trauma emergency setting
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team as appropriate
- Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
- Carry out physician and nursing orders and assist with discharge planning coordination
- Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
