Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Adult Emergency Department position requiring AHA-certified BLS and ACLS and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Works in a Level 1 Trauma Adult Emergency Department
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications (all AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS
• TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training required — must be an 8-hour course, updated every 2 years
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure well-coordinated patient care, including discharge planning
