Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with cardiac cath lab scrub experience and RCIS or RT credentials for a 13-week travel assignment in Newton, NJ.
Details
- Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting within an acute care hospital
- Procedures include cardiac cath, PCI (STEMI), peripheral vascular, pacemaker, and interventional radiology procedures
- STEMI on-call required, averaging 13–15 shifts per month including 2 weekends (Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
- 4x9.5 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Charting in Epic EMR
Requirements
- RCIS certification preferred; RT (Licensed Radiologic Technologist) with cardiac cath lab scrub experience accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- IABP experience required
- Cardiac cath lab experience required
- Active NJ license required if applicable
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include preparing patients and the lab for cardiac caths, PCI (STEMI), peripheral vascular, pacemaker, and interventional radiology procedures
- Monitors, documents, and calculates hemodynamic data throughout procedures
- Provides pre-, intra-, and post-procedural assistance to the physician, including access site assessment and management
- May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
