Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Infusion unit position requiring a CA RN license, ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification, and at least 2 years of oncology experience.

Details

• Outpatient oncology infusion center setting
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (8:00–18:30)
• 40 hours per week with variable days
• Weekend rotation required on an as-needed basis
• Role involves handling hazardous drugs in accordance with USP 800 guidelines and NIOSH standards

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card required
• Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience required
• Prior outpatient oncology infusion center experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse patient and family audiences
• Ability to prioritize patient care and manage time effectively within standardized protocols
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
• Develops and implements individualized care plans incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Maintains collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
