Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract in Iowa, requiring an active Iowa or Compact RN license along with BLS and ACLS certifications.
Details
- Adult Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
- Full-time night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Rotating weekends and holidays required
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Iowa RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
- Experience preferred but not required — new and first-time travelers welcome to apply
- Required documentation for consideration includes: resume, two recent employment references, immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Polio, Hepatitis B, TDaP, Flu during flu season), negative 2-step Mantoux or QuantiFERON Gold within 1 year, proof of physical within 1 year, 10-panel drug screen within 1 month, and respiratory fit test within 1 year
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates (Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse) required prior to start
Additional Information
- Responsible for total patient care using the nursing process, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs
- Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
- Completion of CareLearning education modules required prior to start date
- Background check required for all states where the candidate holds a professional license or has lived/worked in the past 7 years
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
