Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehabilitation RN for a 13-week day shift travel assignment at a 50-bed acute rehabilitation hospital in Dallas, TX.
Details
- Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with a single nursing floor and 50 beds
- Rehab/med-surg specialty unit focused on inpatient rehabilitation (IRF)
- Patient population includes those recovering from stroke, amputation, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, trauma, and orthopedic injury
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Equipment includes IV pumps, EKG machines, bariatric beds, and medication dispensing systems
- EMR: Cerner and Epic
- Day shift schedule (6:45 PM – 7:15 PM indicates a night-side day shift; verify with recruiter)
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- No floating requirements
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license recognized in Texas
- Current AHA certifications: BLS required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Experience in rehabilitation or med-surg nursing
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide customized, intensive rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, amputation, major surgeries, and other complex conditions
- The facility is accredited by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ) and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
- Ideal candidates are strong problem solvers with warm, welcoming personalities and demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
