Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehabilitation RN for a 13-week day shift travel assignment at a 50-bed acute rehabilitation hospital in Dallas, TX.

Details

Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with a single nursing floor and 50 beds
Rehab/med-surg specialty unit focused on inpatient rehabilitation (IRF)
Patient population includes those recovering from stroke, amputation, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, trauma, and orthopedic injury
Patient ratio of 1:7
Equipment includes IV pumps, EKG machines, bariatric beds, and medication dispensing systems
EMR: Cerner and Epic
Day shift schedule (6:45 PM – 7:15 PM indicates a night-side day shift; verify with recruiter)
36 hours per week
Every other weekend required
No floating requirements
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license recognized in Texas
Current AHA certifications: BLS required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
Experience in rehabilitation or med-surg nursing
Social Security number required for consideration
Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide customized, intensive rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, amputation, major surgeries, and other complex conditions
The facility is accredited by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ) and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
Ideal candidates are strong problem solvers with warm, welcoming personalities and demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills
Royal blue scrubs required
Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
