Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Newborn Nursery position at an acute care facility, requiring NICU Level 2 experience and night shift availability.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting in a Newborn Nursery (NBN) unit
  • Unit has 8 Level II Special Care Nursery (SCN) beds with approximately 800 births per year
  • 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) and Neonatology coverage available on unit
  • Charting system: Allscripts
  • 12-hour night shifts (1800–0630)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active AZ or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of SCN/NICU experience required, with NICU Level 2 experience preferred
  • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and STABLE

Additional Information

  • Orientation is 8 hours
  • BSN is not required for this position

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first travel assignment. American Traveler has made the entire process feel easy from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, and I always knew what the next step was, i never felt like i was left in the dark. One of my favorite things has been how communicative everyone is. Whether it’s my recruiter, Amanda, or Iranna from payroll, I always get a quick response when I have a question. It’s nice working with a team that actually follows up and keeps you in the loop. Amanda has been awesome throughout my assignment. She checks in regularly with a call or text just to see how things are going and make sure I don’t need anything. That level of support has really stood out to me. I’m rly happy I chose American Traveler for my first assignment, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.
