Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Central Resource Pool (Med/Surg Tele) float pool position requiring ACLS and BLS certifications with straight night shifts at an acute care hospital.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in the Central Resource Pool, covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units
- Telemetry patient population across med/surg care settings
- 12-hour straight night shifts
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- Epic EMR used in this position
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license — SD or Compact state license required
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- BSN not required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Two current professional references required — one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years
- Active certifications required at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted
Additional Information
- Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver individualized patient care
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Responsible for patient assessment, care coordination, patient education, triage, and nursing interventions across the care continuum
- Practices within the full scope of nursing expertise using age- and population-specific standards
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates who previously worked at any Sanford Health location must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date
- Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
