Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital in Washington State.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 staffed beds
• Teaching hospital environment
• Responsibilities span floor care, ER, code response, and rapid response
• Patient ratios vary depending on acuity
• Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Block scheduling required
• Floating between units and all facilities within the state is expected — refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• EMR: Epic (required)
• No on-call required
• No parking fee

Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Washington State RRT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across multiple care areas including general floor, ER, and emergency response situations such as code and rapid response
• Any color scrubs permitted for RRTs
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
