Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital in Washington State.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 staffed beds
- Teaching hospital environment
- Responsibilities span floor care, ER, code response, and rapid response
- Patient ratios vary depending on acuity
- Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Block scheduling required
- Floating between units and all facilities within the state is expected — refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- EMR: Epic (required)
- No on-call required
- No parking fee
Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Washington State RRT license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services across multiple care areas including general floor, ER, and emergency response situations such as code and rapid response
- Any color scrubs permitted for RRTs
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
