Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) position requiring CVVH experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and a minimum of 1.5 years of experience.

Details

  • Works in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) within a hospital setting
  • Patient ratios are 1:1–2 for intensive care and 1:3 for intermediate care
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend and applicable holidays required
  • May float to adolescents, pediatrics, PHOC, and NICU as needed; ratios vary based on acuity
  • Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

  • Active NJ or Compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS; NIHSS preferred
  • Minimum 1.5 years of PICU or relevant RN experience required
  • CVVH (continuous venovenous hemofiltration) experience required
  • Patient transport experience highly preferred
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • Two current professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Any schedule accommodations or time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being extended
  • Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
  • Peds-friendly top and navy blue scrub bottoms required

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first travel assignment. American Traveler has made the entire process feel easy from start to finish.
