Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) position requiring CVVH experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and a minimum of 1.5 years of experience.
Details
- Works in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) within a hospital setting
- Patient ratios are 1:1–2 for intensive care and 1:3 for intermediate care
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Every other weekend and applicable holidays required
- May float to adolescents, pediatrics, PHOC, and NICU as needed; ratios vary based on acuity
- Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS; NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 1.5 years of PICU or relevant RN experience required
- CVVH (continuous venovenous hemofiltration) experience required
- Patient transport experience highly preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two current professional references required for consideration

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Any schedule accommodations or time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being extended
- Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Peds-friendly top and navy blue scrub bottoms required
