Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Edmond, OK, requiring a minimum of one year of nursing experience and AHA-issued certifications for a 13-week night shift contract.

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract
• Travel required as part of the role

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuing bodies accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in nursing assessment, care planning, and clinical documentation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsible for managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, monitoring physiological data, and initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and coordinates care referrals as needed
• Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures throughout the stay and at discharge
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for another contract
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance
