Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical Float Pool position requiring advanced telemetry experience and an active NH or Compact RN license.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital Medical/Surgical Float Pool unit
• Floating to other units within the facility may be required
• 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
• 3 shifts per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required — temp licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of acute care experience in the relevant specialty
• Advanced telemetry experience required
• Experience with Cardizem and Insulin drips (insulin for hyperglycemia, not DKA) required
• Experience with Phenobarbital on telemetry required
• 2 recent Charge RN or Manager RN references required (no peer/coworker references)
• A NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses is required for consideration
• An up-to-date resume documenting specialty experience and any travel experience is required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers with strong, relevant experience will be considered
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a local pay rate
• Weekly orientation is provided
• Former permanent staff are eligible to return as travelers after a minimum 12-month break in service
• 3 professional references are required upon commitment (at least 2 must be from leadership)
