Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care (LTC) position at a state/government-run skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Vestal, NY, requiring a valid NY RN license and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

• Long-term care setting within a 300-bed state/government-run facility offering skilled nursing, rehabilitation therapies, memory care, and wound care
• Patient population includes residents with Alzheimer's and dementia
• Patient ratio of 1:18–20
• Night shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (22:45–07:15)
• 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Charting via Point Click Care (PCC); prior experience not required

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required; no license violations permitted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required; candidates with recent rehab, med/surg, or hospital experience will also be considered
• Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• Proof of NY RN license required for consideration
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, performing medication passes, monitoring and documenting changes in resident condition, and supervising CNAs on assigned units
• Any shift change requests are not permitted once an offer has been accepted
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and will not be approved after an offer is made; candidates cannot request every holiday off
• Call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours of advance notice
• Compliance process takes approximately 1.5–2 weeks
• Relias training modules must be completed no later than 3 days prior to the assignment start date; module access is sent via email within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Start dates follow a bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Scrubs may be any solid color; closed-toe shoes required
• Parking is free on-site
