Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a general sonography position requiring ARDMS certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience, working a rotating 36/48-hour weekly schedule on Friday–Sunday nights.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based ultrasound/sonography department
- General ultrasound with preferred experience in vascular and general US
- GE ultrasound equipment preferred
- Friday–Sunday, 12:00 PM–12:00 AM (nights)
- Rotating 36/48-hour schedule: alternating between 3x12 and 4x12 hours per week (84 hours per two-week period)
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active ARDMS certification required
- Current AHA BLS required
- Active compact or state license in hand required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience required
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Driver's license with address matching permanent address required
- 2 professional references required: 1 charge-level or higher and 1 supervisor reference, both completed within the last year
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis
- Must be willing to work either a major or minor holiday each holiday period
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be declared upfront with no changes accepted after submission
- Travelers who have worked in the ARH system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
- Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis and will not be placed on the same shift or unit
- Candidates must be able to accept the rotating 36/48-hour schedule — those unable to do so will not be considered
