Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a general sonography position requiring ARDMS certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience, working a rotating 36/48-hour weekly schedule on Friday–Sunday nights.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based ultrasound/sonography department
• General ultrasound with preferred experience in vascular and general US
• GE ultrasound equipment preferred
• Friday–Sunday, 12:00 PM–12:00 AM (nights)
• Rotating 36/48-hour schedule: alternating between 3x12 and 4x12 hours per week (84 hours per two-week period)
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active ARDMS certification required
• Current AHA BLS required
• Active compact or state license in hand required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience required
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Driver's license with address matching permanent address required
• 2 professional references required: 1 charge-level or higher and 1 supervisor reference, both completed within the last year
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis
• Must be willing to work either a major or minor holiday each holiday period
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be declared upfront with no changes accepted after submission
• Travelers who have worked in the ARH system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis and will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Candidates must be able to accept the rotating 36/48-hour schedule — those unable to do so will not be considered
