Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active NYS RN licensure.

• Works in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU) of a large academic medical center in Albany, NY
• Night shift position with hours of 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NYS RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in the specialty required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Epic EMR experience required — candidates without Epic experience will not be considered
• US Social Security Number required — Canadian SIN is not accepted
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted (personal and religious exemptions are not accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside outside of the following counties to be eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington (50-mile radius rule applies)
• Competency testing is required for this ICU position, with 2 attempts allowed to pass
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• More than 3 call-outs during the contract will result in termination; any required make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
