Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro-Progressive Care unit requiring prior Neuro-Progressive/Stepdown or ICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Neuro-Progressive Care unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 13-week assignment
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- 5-bed Med-Surg rotation required for all staff
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Neuro-Progressive/Stepdown or ICU setting
- Epic EMR experience required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required
- Medical exemption from licensed professional required for flu vaccine declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care within a Neuro-Progressive/Stepdown care environment
- Must complete a Neuro-Progressive competency exam and skills checklist upon offer
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible, specifically those in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties
- More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period will result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
- RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application
