Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position in Oregon, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Details
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Medical/Surgical unit serving adult patients before and after surgical procedures
- Floating to other departments may be required based on qualifications
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Oregon RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
Additional Information
- Provides direct, individualized nursing care to adult pre- and post-surgical patients, including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and condition assessment
- Responsible for initiating the computerized Plan of Care upon patient admission
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to the position
- BSN or MSN preferred
- Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) designation preferred
- CRASE training preferred; required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
