Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring strong, recent home health experience, OASIS and Epic proficiency, and a valid NJ or compact RN license.

Details

Home health setting serving patients primarily discharged from hospitals and nursing facilities
Common diagnoses and procedures include wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, ostomies, heart failure, diabetes, oncology, post-surgical care, and orthopedics
Productivity expectation is 6 visits per day or the equivalent (e.g., admissions count as 2 visits)
Day shift schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
Every 5th weekend required
Every other holiday required
Floating required among five designated locations based on staffing needs
Epic EMR experience required; OASIS documentation experience required

Requirements

Active NJ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted); Nursys verification required
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of recent home health experience required, with experience within the last 12 months
OASIS experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Med-surg skills required
Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required
COVID-19 vaccine required — no exemptions
Flu vaccine required — no exemptions
Two current professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

Candidates living within 50 miles of their primary facility are subject to the local pay rate
RTO requests must be submitted upfront; requests submitted after the profile will not be accepted
No RTO during the first week of the assignment
Block scheduling is not permitted
No mileage reimbursement provided
Pre-employment labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
Candidates must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to starting on the unit
