Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) with 2+ years of acute rehab or acute care experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Sacramento, CA.
Details
- 52-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation (IRF) hospital setting
- Physical Therapy department; day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Patient caseload of 4–5 patients per day with 6 hours of treatment time daily
- Patient population includes TBI, SCI, orthopedic trauma, stroke, neurological conditions, amputation, and spinal cord injury
- EMR system: Cerner
- No call or float requirements
- Weekend rotation may apply approximately every 2–3 weekends
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute rehabilitation or acute care PT experience required
- Active California PT license required (license required if applicable)
- AHA certifications required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

- Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic trauma
- Focus on intensive, individualized rehabilitation aimed at maximizing patient function and quality of life
- No scrub color requirement
- Free parking adjacent to the facility with a parking placard provided
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
