Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT/BLS certification for a role at an academic teaching hospital.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department of an academic, research-based medical center
- Adult, outpatient, inpatient, and ICU patient population
- Perform CT scans during IR procedures
- Use PACS, C-Arm, Siemens CT equipment, and injector systems (ACIST preferred)
- Utilize pushable/detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, and snare kits
- Epic EMR experience required
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call rotation averages 10 days per month, including one weekend
- No floating outside of clinical scope
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IR technologist experience
- ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
- BLS certification required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Experience with outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU settings required
- Proficiency with PACS, C-Arm, contrast administration, and biopsy procedures
- Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrogram studies, and vascular procedures
- Experience with venous access, neuro studies, GU, abdominal/pelvic, and upper/lower extremity procedures
- Epic charting system experience required
- License required if applicable

- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Scrubs are provided
- Onsite parking available at no cost
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- RTO must be submitted with application; additional requests after confirmation are at manager's discretion
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility
- Facility is part of a larger academic health system affiliated with a university school of medicine
