Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of high-volume Breast Center experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week travel contract.
Details
- Outpatient mammography setting, with inpatient exposure preferred
- Procedures include screening and diagnostic mammograms, 3D mammography, digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy
- Hologic 3D equipment used (preferred)
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM — no weekends, no call, no holidays
- Epic EMR required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume Breast Center
- ARRT (M) or ARRT (R) certification required
- Current BLS required; AHA preferred, ARC not accepted — military certifications acceptable
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required for consideration
- Experience with 3D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, stereotactic biopsy, needle localizations, and fine needle aspiration
- Knowledge of radiation safety and universal precautions
- SSN, DOB, and state-issued ID required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Charge or lead experience preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and trauma level experience are all preferred but not required
- Candidates residing within 90 miles of the facility are considered local and may be eligible at a different rate
- RTO of up to 5 non-consecutive days may be requested; during the holiday season (November through January), only one holiday RTO request will be considered — all RTO is subject to management approval prior to contract signing
- Orientation includes completion of required modules, tracked in Healthstream; any modules not completed prior to start will be finished during orientation
