Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a busy 38-bed medicine unit, requiring telemetry experience and rotating shifts including every other weekend.
Details
- 38-bed inpatient medicine unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, and medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders
- RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends; PCT-to-patient ratio is 1:10
- Rotating 7A/7P schedule (12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required every other holiday and as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active RN license in Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Experience in a telemetry Med/Surg unit required
- Strong IV skills required
- Experience in a comparable-sized facility (500+ bed count) preferred for large academic medical center placements
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration

- 13-week contract
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
