Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department (ED) travel assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience, Epic proficiency, and a valid NC or compact RN license.
Details
- Level 2 Trauma hospital emergency department setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 2 weekend shifts (or 4 weekend days) required per 6-week schedule
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an emergency department setting
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
- A valid driver's license and copies of all certifications required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Previous Charge RN experience and Level 2 Trauma experience are preferred
- All RNs are required to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, regardless of specialty — two attempts are allowed
- Study materials for the EKG exam will not be provided by the facility; candidates should prepare independently in advance
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Scheduling flexibility is expected
