Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting on a telemetry-capable Med/Surg unit
- Primary patient population is general medical/surgical, with additional exposure to observation, respiratory, palliative, end-of-life, hospice, psychiatric observation, and diabetic patients
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required; holidays covered as needed
- Floating required across all system facilities if needed
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
Requirements
- Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Valid driver's license and copies of all certifications required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Unit is posted as MS/Tele due to an EKG exam requirement for all RNs, though the primary patient population is general Med/Surg
- All RNs must pass a pass/fail EKG exam during onboarding — two attempts are allowed; study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
- Prior Charge RN experience is preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
