Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring an active MA RN license and experience with chemotherapy patient care in an LTAC setting.

Details

  • LTAC Oncology unit setting
  • Patient population requires chemotherapy administration and diagnosis management
  • 13-week assignment with 07:00-19:30 shifts
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
  • BLS certification (AHA only)
  • License verification through both NURSYS and BON required within 30 days of start
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects
  • Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and vital signs
  • Monitor, record, and report changes in patient conditions
  • Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient response and condition
  • Flu vaccination required with no medical or religious exemptions accepted
  • Local candidates accepted, though those residing within 60 miles of the facility receive a reduced pay rate
  • No validated parking available at Boston-area locations; public transportation or paid parking may be needed
