Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring an active MA RN license and experience with chemotherapy patient care in an LTAC setting.
Details
- LTAC Oncology unit setting
- Patient population requires chemotherapy administration and diagnosis management
- 13-week assignment with 07:00-19:30 shifts
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- License verification through both NURSYS and BON required within 30 days of start
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and vital signs
- Monitor, record, and report changes in patient conditions
- Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care plans
- Modify treatment plans based on patient response and condition
- Flu vaccination required with no medical or religious exemptions accepted
- Local candidates accepted, though those residing within 60 miles of the facility receive a reduced pay rate
- No validated parking available at Boston-area locations; public transportation or paid parking may be needed
