Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with acute inpatient experience for a 26-week travel assignment in Hawaii, including primary acute rehab coverage and secondary ICF/SNF rehab responsibilities.
Details
- Primary coverage in acute inpatient rehab, with secondary coverage in ICF/SNF rehab settings
- Patient population consists of adults across acute, rehab, and skilled nursing settings
- Schedule is variable: Mon–Fri, Tues–Sat, or Sun–Thurs, 8:30am–5:00pm
- Weekend and holiday availability required based on hospital operational needs
- EMR system is Meditech
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience in at least one of the following adult settings: acute care, rehab hospital, or SNF
- Primary acute inpatient experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active Hawaii PT license required by start of assignment; candidates without a current HI license must apply upon offer acceptance
- Hawaii license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and re-evaluating patients, planning and implementing individualized PT programs as prescribed by attending physicians or consulting specialists, and providing consulting PT services
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; this appointment is held at the Hilo Employee Health office and attendance is mandatory
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before their start date in order to complete the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
