Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Boston, MA, requiring high-risk L&D experience, ACLS, NRP, and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a high-volume tertiary care hospital setting
- Handles a wide range of deliveries including VBACs, Cesarean sections, and natural births
- Level III NICU on site; unit manages high-risk and complex obstetric cases
- 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
- Minimum of 4 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) and 2 Friday shifts required per 6-week schedule block
- One 12-hour on-call shift required per 6-week schedule
- May float between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units
- Epic EMR used; experience preferred
- No float outside of L&D/Postpartum required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum experience in Labor & Delivery required, including postpartum (PP) float capability
- Tertiary or high-risk L&D experience required
- First-time travelers will not be considered
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be accepted
- Previous employees (travel, permanent, or per diem) of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have been separated for at least one year to be considered
- Orientation is held weekly, every Monday (excluding holidays)
- A hiring manager interview is required; candidates should have availability ready
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
- COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions are accepted)
- Flu vaccine documentation required during flu season
- Public transportation is available near the facility; on-site parking can be expensive
