Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Cath Lab position requiring 1 year of experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab unit of a hospital environment
- Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Overnight, weekend, and holiday call required
- EP experience is a plus
- Epic charting system experience required
- Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs
Requirements
- Active OK or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI, left and right heart catheterizations, and vascular closure techniques
- Monitor procedural sedation and manage dysrhythmias using cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics and vasopressors
- Perform sheath removal, topical hemostasis, and utilize vascular closure systems
- Receive brief orientation when floating to other units
- Complete required onboarding modules onsite during orientation, averaging 4-6 hours for RNs
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
- Former staff must have separated from permanent employment at the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- Up to 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
