Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency, NIHSS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience, with night shift availability and no candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility.
Details
- Work setting is a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with 18 private rooms and one semi-private room, for a maximum census of 20 patients
- Patient population spans young adults through geriatrics with a broad range of care needs
- Unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities
- Patient ratio is 1:6
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Approximately half of all scheduled shifts will fall on weekends
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS and NIHSS
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and none will be approved during the first week of orientation
