Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) travel contract requiring night shifts and comfort with floating to Med-Surg at higher patient ratios.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36-hour weekly work commitment
- Floating required, including to Med-Surg with patient ratios up to 1:7
- No on-call responsibilities
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TN or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Must be comfortable floating and managing higher patient ratios
- Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required
- Candidate's permanent residence must be 100+ miles from the facility's service area
Additional Information
- Responsible for supporting nursing students and participating in clinical education alongside standard patient care duties
- Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
