Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/PICU position requiring active SC RRT license and Epic EMR experience for a night shift assignment.
Details
- Rotates across all pediatric areas including PICU, NICU, ER, and Acute Care
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:30
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend, though this may vary based on need
- Floating to other units or campuses required based on census needs
- Uses Pyxis and Omnicell medication delivery systems
- Utilizes Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RRT license required (License required if applicable)
- BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a similar unit
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
- Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment including apnea monitors, capillary blood gas sampling, oxygen therapy, bag and mask, high flow nasal cannula, and trach collar
- Experience with medication administration including Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Mucomyst, and Xopenex
- Experience with aerosol setup for mask and trach, and metered dose inhaler (MDI) administration
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and acute care patients across multiple units
- Complete pre-assignment testing and compliance modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
- Attend orientation and complete annual compliance requirements
- Radius requirements apply and may affect eligibility or pay rate depending on distance from the facility
