Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in a pediatric critical care setting.
Details
- NICU-based assignment at an acute care hospital with cross-coverage expected across PICU, ER, and acute care pediatric areas
- Pediatric patient population spanning neonatal and pediatric critical care, emergency, and acute care settings
- Medication systems in use include Pyxis and Omnicell
- Epic EMR is used for charting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend, though frequency may vary based on need
- Floating to other units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs; staff will only float to units for which they have demonstrated competencies
Requirements
- Active SC RRT license (license required if applicable)
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and PALS
- ACLS certification also required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a NICU or relevant pediatric unit
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency with respiratory medication delivery systems including aerosol setups (mask and trach), MDI, and nebulizers
- Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures including HFNC, bag and mask, trach collar, and oxygen therapy
- Two professional references required for consideration
- A copy of your Driver's License is required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services across NICU, PICU, ER, and pediatric acute care areas as needed
- Orientation begins on Mondays
- Pre-assignment modules must be completed prior to the start date; up to 16 hours of module completion time is eligible for reimbursement
- As a night shift RRT traveler, candidates must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible; candidates residing less than 50 miles away are ineligible
