Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 3 years of Med/Surg experience and Epic proficiency, working night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details

• MS/Tele unit in a large academic medical center setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:3
• Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity within the organization as needed
• Weekend and rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg experience required
• IV insertion and telemetry monitoring skills required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required: at least one must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference — no coworker references accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Former employees of this facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to or at the time of booking, with a maximum of 7 days allowed
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after booking — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
