Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Float Pool RN with telemetry expertise for a 13-week travel contract requiring rotation across 8 Med/Surg Tele units and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Float Pool position requiring willingness to rotate across 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units within the hospital (Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow)
- Patient population includes ED border patients, medication nurse responsibilities in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
- Patient ratios: up to 5:1 on Days and Eves, up to 6:1 on Nights
- Schedule is Days/Eves rotating with 1 to 3 Night rotations per contract, every other weekend (EOW) required
- 36 hours per week
- EMR: Epic (charting system)
- Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this location)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location required
- Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required
- Telemetry skills required: measuring intervals, interpreting strips every 4 hours, and administering cardiac drips
- TR Band experience required
- 2 references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted

- Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drip management, and reading telemetry strips
- Free on-site parking is not available at this Boston location; public parking lots are available nearby, and public transportation is encouraged
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
