Description
American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of specialty experience and ARDMS (RDMS-BR) certification for a travel assignment in Grand Junction, CO.
Details
- Hospital-based ultrasound department at a regional medical center in Grand Junction, CO
- 4x10-hour evening shifts per week
- On-call requirements to be discussed during interview
- EMR: Epic (charting)
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the submitting specialty (e.g., breast ultrasound)
- ARDMS registration required, including RDMS (BR) - Breast Specialty
- Additional ARDMS registry beyond physics required (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, or vascular)
- BLS certification from AHA required; must not expire prior to assignment start
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Active state license required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Ability to lift, bend, carry, push, and pull equipment; ability to stand for extended periods
Additional Information
- Perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction for identification of abnormalities leading to patient diagnosis
- Responsibilities include patient identification and order verification, image quality review, vascular procedures, infection control, sterile technique, and patient education
- Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols and positioning
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and adverse reactions
- Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and equipment failure reporting
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
