Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting requiring pediatric experience at this critical access facility.

• Acute care hospital setting within the PT department
• Critical access facility serving pediatric patients
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Current state PT licensure required if applicable
• 2 years of direct patient physical therapy care and treatment experience preferred
• Rehabilitation hospital setting experience preferred
• Pediatric experience required due to critical access facility status
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care including functional needs evaluation and establishing plans of care
• Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care and modifies treatment as needed based on effectiveness
• Assesses educational and cultural needs of patients, families, and caregivers to optimize care outcomes
• Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans in accordance with hospital requirements
• Regularly updates documentation and prepares discharge plans
• Coordinates and supervises staff as needed
• Applies age-specific standards, policies, and procedures in patient care
