Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Med/Surg Telemetry travel assignment on a Surgical/GI/Oncology unit, requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- 30-bed Surgical/GI/Oncology unit (4 North) in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes surgical, GI, and oncology cases
- Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- 13-week contract
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Navy or maroon scrubs required
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- US Social Security Number required
- Must provide a valid US home address
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Copy of all certifications and license verification (Nursys) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and managing discharge planning
- Carries out physician and nursing orders and communicates patient condition as appropriate
- Must be able to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
