Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab/Electrophysiology position in Paducah, KY, working four 10-hour day shifts per week on a 13-week contract.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab setting within a hospital environment, specializing in the Electrophysiology (EP) procedure area
- Comprehensive diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures performed, including angioplasty, stenting, EP interventions, pacemaker placement, valve procedures, and TEE
- Day shift schedule, 0700–1730, four 10-hour shifts per week
- No on-call requirements, though all scheduled EP patients for the day will be completed before end of shift
- 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures
- DOB (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementing nursing interventions, patient and family education, and discharge coordination
- Collaborates with an inter-professional care team to coordinate individualized treatment planning
- Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing
- Applies evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making across all four phases of the nursing process
- Previous nursing experience preferred but not explicitly required
