Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) certification for an acute care hospital MRI department using Epic and Siemens equipment.

Details

• Acute care hospital MRI department with 3 scanners
• Routine neurological, musculoskeletal, and abdominal imaging, as well as specialty imaging including cardiac, prostate, and breast MRI
• Weekday average of 52 patients per day; weekend average of 27 patients per day
• IV placement is required
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment, Epic EMR, and Synapse PACS
• Rotating 14-hour shifts; weekday shift is 8:30 AM – 10:30 PM and weekend shift is 6:30 AM – 8:30 PM
• Weekend availability required
• No call or on-call requirement
• No floating to other departments
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• IV insertion proficiency required
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment preferred
• Epic EMR and Synapse PACS experience preferred
• Two professional references required, including at least one supervisor reference; if the candidate worked a permanent position in the last 12 months, one supervisor reference must be from that facility
• Copy of certifications and driver's license required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• 7-year work history (or from graduation, whichever is less) with no gaps greater than 30 days required for consideration — each entry should include hospital size, unit size, trauma level, and whether the facility is a teaching hospital
• Any background hits must be disclosed at the time of consideration

Additional Information

• Perform routine and specialty MRI studies including neuro, MSK, abdominal, cardiac, prostate, and breast imaging
• Radiologist is on-site
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from this WVU facility to be eligible
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year without taking a 2-year break
