Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric PCU position requiring at least 2 years of Peds Cardiac Stepdown experience and an OH RN license in hand.

Details

• Pediatric Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a children's hospital setting
• Patient population includes pediatric cardiac cases, both medical and surgical (e.g., cardiac defects, heart and lung transplants, post-op CTICU)
• Specialized procedures and equipment include trachs/vents, high-flow nasal cannula, post-op caths, and inotrope management
• Day and night rotating shifts in 6-week intervals: Days 7:00–19:30 and Nights 19:00–7:00 (4x12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to different units is a requirement and a point of emphasis at this facility

Requirements

• Active OH RN license (or compact equivalent accepted) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown experience required
• Two supervisor-level references required for consideration (charge nurse references not accepted)

Additional Information

• Local candidates are not accepted for RN positions
• Candidates who have previously worked permanently at this facility must have a gap of at least 2 years before being eligible
• Floating to other units is expected and should be anticipated throughout the assignment
• Attendance and punctuality are strictly enforced at this facility
