Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Telemetry position requiring an OH or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown experience.
Details
- Pediatric Telemetry unit within a children's hospital setting
- Patient population includes pediatric cardiac cases, both medical and surgical
- Specialized procedures and equipment include trachs/vents, high-flow nasal cannula, post-op caths, inotropes, and heart and lung transplants
- Cares for post-operative patients transitioning from the CTICU
- Day and night rotating schedule in 6-week intervals (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30 days / 19:00–7:00 nights)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to different units may be required
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown experience required
- Two supervisor-level references required for consideration (at least one must hold a manager or supervisor title; charge nurse references are not accepted)
Additional Information
- 13-week contract
- Local candidates are not eligible for this position; candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
- Candidates who have worked permanently for this health system within the past 2 years are not eligible
- Floating to other units is a standard expectation for travelers at this facility
- Attendance and punctuality are strictly enforced
