Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma facility in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work setting is a combined adult and pediatric, non-trauma Emergency Department
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Schedule is nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• At least 8 weekend shifts are required per contract, with holiday coverage as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Key clinical skills include blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, IV insertion, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, CPAP/BiPAP management, ABG interpretation, ventilated patient care, and triage

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Experience with triage in an emergency department setting required
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance; two attempts are allowed and candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• 13-week contract
