Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Epic EMR experience and a CA RN license, working night shifts on a 36 or 48-hour weekly schedule.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- Epic EMR used; prior Epic experience is required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Current PALS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required within 6 months of hire; Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 1 year of hire
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required, with clinical experience in the specialty within the last 3 months
- Active, unrestricted RN license with no prior hits on record
- BSN preferred
- Two supervisory references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
- Specialty-specific skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during the assigned shift
- Develops and implements nursing care plans based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care
- Collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care across all age groups including neonatal through geriatric
- Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall care plan
- Delegates patient care tasks to other nursing staff within their clinical competence and legal scope of practice
- This position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA)
- RTO requests exceeding 5 days will not be considered
