Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Stepdown position requiring a CA RN license, ACLS, and NIHSS certification, with a minimum of 2 years of Stepdown or Telemetry experience.
Details
- Work setting is an acute care hospital Neuro Stepdown unit combining stepdown and telemetry patients
- Patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend requirement
- On-call required as needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Stepdown or Telemetry unit required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the travel pay rate
Additional Information
- Provide acute care nursing to neurological stepdown and telemetry patients
- Previous employees of this health system must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
- Candidates must be available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing their contract
