Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN for a high-acuity CVICU position requiring at least 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience and active TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Unit 002) in a fast-paced, high-acuity, standalone CV unit
- Patient population includes neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult congenital heart disease (CHD) patients
- Cases include congenital heart disease/defects, surgical CHD, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, VAD/Berlin Heart
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1–1:2 for ICU status, 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
- Required certifications (all must be AHA): BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Skills checklist required for consideration
Additional Information
- Care for high-acuity pediatric cardiovascular patients including post-surgical and transplant cases
- Local candidates are welcome to apply; a radius rule is in place that may affect pay rate eligibility depending on distance from the facility
- COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
